Utah Jazz Player Hosts Camps for Castle Country Youngsters

Utah Jazz Player David Stockton visited the Castle Country on Tuesday, hosting free youth basketball clinics and meeting young fans.

Stockton made his first stop at the BDAC on the USU Eastern Campus before heading to Emery High School in Castle Dale. Each event included a short skills clinic for area youth where Stockton and Utah Jazz staff led players through drills and various activities.

Following the clinics, Stockton signed autographs and took pictures with the youngsters.

Stockton is a 5′ 11″ point guard who has played for the Utah Jazz since 2017. He played at Gonzaga University from 2010 to 2014 and helped Gonzaga reach four straight NCAA tournaments. He made his NBA debut in 2014 playing for the Sacramento Kings.

Professionally, Stockton has played for the Reno Bighorns, Sacramento Kings, Cedevita Zagreb in Croatia, New Zealand Breakers and Utah Jazz. He was named to the NBA D-League All-Rookie Second Team in 2015.
