After a 23-5 season a year ago, the Carbon Dinos started 2012 off right with a win against the visiting South Sevier Rams Tuesday, 10-4.
Seth Tryon and Dylan Vogrinec each homered in the game and Dakota Cisneros picked up the win on the mound.
The Dinos will travel to St. George this weekend for the Pizza Hut Classic at Dixie High School. Carbon will look to bounce back from last season’s performance in the Classic in which they lost three of four games. The Dinos then ripped off 21 straight games in which they outscored their opponents 202-79. Forty of their opponents 79 runs came in just three games.
Carbon’s Schedule for the Pizza Hut Classic:
Friday, March 9: Bear River at 1 p.m., then vs. Tooele at 7 p.m.
Saturday, March 10: Dixie at 1 p.m., then vs TBD at 4 p.m.
