The Welcome Park, located in Orangeville, now has restrooms for visitors to make use of. Due in part to a local teen’s Eagle Scout Project, the bathrooms were recently installed.

Senator David Hinkins was approached by Orangeville council member Carol Stilson a handful of months ago regarding the bathrooms. Hinkins was then successful in assisting Orangeville City in the $200,000 received from the Utah State Transportation Bureau for the purpose of building the restrooms.

The grand opening and ribbon cutting for this new addition was celebrated on Thursday evening. The business chamber, as well as local residents and other entities, welcomed the bathrooms together during the ceremony.

Patrons will now be able to enjoy the use of this facility. The bathrooms are programmed to open each day at 6 a.m. and close each evening by 9 p.m.
