USU Eastern Press Release

‘What a Woman Wants Expo’ opens this weekend at The Tuscan on Friday, March 28 from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. All proceeds go to USU Eastern’s cosmetology scholarship fund.

Hundreds of giveaways, including a $250 shopping spree from Lil Touch of Bling and a $500 fishing package on the Snake River in Jackson Hole, Wyo., will be given away during the two-day show.

“This is the one weekend women in this area should not miss,” said Debbie Prichard, associate professor of cosmetology and one of the sponsors of the show. “We promise to have something for everyone, including a drawing for a fishing package on the Snake River in Jackson Hole for the man in your life. The shopping spree at Lil Touch of Bling will update anyone’s spring clothing or jewelry wardrobe.”

Over 40 vendor booths will be set up as well as dozens of tutorials with the latest information just for women. USU Eastern cosmetology students will demonstrate the latest hairstyles plus braiding, nails and pedicure techniques.

Fashion shows are scheduled for Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Exhibitors include new looks in fashion, fashion do’s and don’ts, health and fitness, swimwear, home décor, food, pampering, hair and nails, makeup, stress relief, first-look products, jewelry and footwear.

“This is the first ‘What a Woman Wants Expo’ in Carbon County and we hope to offer many more,” said Kathy Hanna Smith, another sponsor of the show.

Entrance cost is $5 per person and children under 10 are free.
