The Emery Lady Spartans came home from a two-game road test at Duchesne and Delta last week with a perfect 2-0 record, notching their third and fourth wins in as many games. They did it in commanding fashion, outscoring their opponents 108-49.
Megan Jensen had 14 points and six boards against Duchesne and added another 15 points in her team’s 63-27 win over the Rabbits. Kinlee Toomer added 20 points over both games. A total of 12 players notched points in the game against Delta.
Emery (6-1, 0-0 Region 15) will have a pair of games this week before the Christmas break. The Lady Spartans will host Millard (5-1, 0-0 region 13) on Tuesday before traveling to take on the Union Cougars (3-4, 0-0 Region 10) on Thursday. The Emery/Millard game will feature the third and fourth-ranked teams in 2A.
