USU Eastern Volleyball Wraps Up Tough Road Competition, Looks Forward to Upcoming Home Games

The USU Eastern volleyball team traveled to Idaho last week to compete against North Idaho College and the College of Southern Idaho.

On Thursday, the team battled North Idaho. USU Eastern dropped the first set 25-18 but rallied in the second and third, winning 28-26 and 27-25.  The fourth and fifth set proved problematic for the Golden Eagles who fell 25-11 and 17-15.  Melissa Judd led USU Eastern with 18 kills and Mckenzie Burrows had 43 assists on the game.

The team then competed against the College of Southern Idaho on Saturday. USU Eastern fell 3-0 on the road, 25-12, 25-15 and 25-11. Whitney Riffle had seven kills on the game and Mason Steel led the team with 15 assists.

The Golden Eagles will host Colorado Northwestern Community College on Oct. 4 and Salt Lake Community College on Oct. 10. Both games will start at 1 p.m.
