A new child in the family is always a joyous time. Adoption is the path that many parents choose to take in their pursuit of a family.
For one local family, the funds for adoption are coming by way of a fundraising event. A yard sale, craft sale and raffle on Saturday, Sept. 9 will benefit the cost of adoption. This is a multi-family yard sale with many items up for sale.
The fundraising event will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. It will be in the parking lot of The Tuscan, 23 East 100 North in Price. In case of bad weather, the sale will be moved indoors.
Shoppers can expect to find clothes, furniture, snowblowers, home decor, dishes, toys, bikes and more at the sale with proceeds directly benefitting an adopting family. Crafts will also be available, including homemade wreaths, decorations and more.
Those wishing to participate in the raffle may purchase tickets at the event for $1 each or six tickets for $5. Raffle prizes include a YETI cooler and tumblers as well as a homemade wreath and quilt.
